Split Start: Lady Bears Open Tournament with Win and Loss

The Lady Bears kicked off day one of the Tae Kim Lakewood/Molten Varsity Classic with mixed results, battling through a hard-fought victory over Riverside Prep (3-0) and a tough loss to West Torrance (1-3). While the day ended with a 1–1 record, the team showed flashes of brilliance—particularly through the offensive firepower of Dakota Carvo and the defensive grit of Gabrielle Robinson.
Looking Ahead
With one win and one loss, the Lady Bears remain in solid position heading into day two of the tournament. If they can tighten up their blocking and reduce unforced errors, they have the potential to go deep into bracket play.
The Lady Bears return to the court on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. against Citrus Valley High School, hoping to build on their opening-day momentum. Come out and cheer on your Bears!
