Coach Manuel Savalza
Head Coach – Boys & Girls Volleyball | Riverside Poly High School

Coach Manuel Savalza proudly leads both the Boys and Girls Volleyball programs at Riverside Poly High School. A 2017 graduate of Poly himself, Coach Savalza is a proud Bear alum—“Once a Bear, Always a Bear!”

As a standout student-athlete, Coach Savalza was a founding member of the school’s inaugural CIF-SS Boys Volleyball team. He competed on varsity for three years, earning First Team All-Citrus Belt League MVP honors each season. He also spent six years playing competitive club volleyball across Southern California.

Coach Savalza continued his playing career at Elms College in Boston, Massachusetts, where he was a four-year starter for the Blazers. During his collegiate career, Elms captured two conference championships, earned back-to-back NCAA Division III Tournament appearances, and achieved a top-5 national ranking.

His coaching journey began on the East Coast with Pioneer Volleyball Club, where he led the 17-1s team to consecutive top-25 finishes in the New England Region Volleyball Association (NERVA).

Now back home in California, Coach Savalza works for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and coaches with Bravo Volleyball Club. He is entering his first season at the helm of both the Boys and Girls programs at Poly, having previously led the Boys Varsity squad to a CIF-SS Final appearance and two top-10 sectional rankings over the past two years.

Coach Savalza is deeply committed to building a strong, unified, and competitive program for Riverside Poly Volleyball. With passion, discipline, and a focus on player development, he looks forward to continuing the program’s success on both sides of the net.

Go Bears!
