It was a banner week for Riverside Poly Athletics program, with teams across the board delivering clutch performances, statement victories, and championship-caliber play.
Varsity Football Shuts Out Bulldogs in 50-0 Rout
Under the Friday night lights, the Varsity Football team delivered a commanding 50-0 shutout against the Hemet Bulldogs in what was arguably their most dominant performance of the season. The defense was unrelenting, forcing multiple turnovers and not allowing a single point, while the offense moved with precision and power. This win solidifies the Bears as a serious contender heading into the final stretch of the season.
The success wasn’t limited to the varsity level — the Junior Varsity and Freshman Football teams also posted impressive wins, showcasing the depth of talent and strong future for the program. Both squads executed their game plans flawlessly, continuing the winning tradition throughout all levels.
Volleyball Clinches Second in Ivy League
On the court, the Girls Volleyball team had a phenomenal week, locking up second place in the Ivy League with clutch victories over both the Paloma Valley Wildcats and Arlington Lions. With crisp passing, relentless defense, and dynamic attacking, the team proved they are a force to be reckoned with as postseason play approaches.
Golf Team Makes Statement, Clinches Second
The Bears Golf team wrapped up league play with big wins over the Heritage Patriots and Paloma Valley Wildcats, securing second place overall. In a nail-biting finish, they fell just one stroke short of the Liberty Bison, which would have resulted in a tie for first place. Despite the narrow margin, the team showed resilience and poise under pressure, setting the stage for a strong postseason run.

Currently sitting in fourth place, the Tennis team remains in the hunt as they look to climb the standings in the coming week. With key matchups on the horizon, the squad is focused and hungry to make a late-season push.
Flag Football Tied for First, Title Within Reach
The Lady Bears Flag Football team is currently tied for first place in league play and will look to clinch the league title next week in pivotal matchups against the Hillcrest Trojans and the John W. North Huskies. With a high-powered offense and a stingy defense, the team is poised to bring home the championship.
Water Polo Ranked in CIF, Tops Conference
The Water Polo team continues to make waves, currently ranked 25th in CIF-SS and sitting atop the conference. Blowout wins over Hillcrest and the Hemet Bulldogs further cement their dominance, as the team eyes a deep playoff run fueled by elite defense and fast-paced counter attacks.
